Job Description

Social Media Strategic Planning
- Develop a comprehensive social media strategy that defines how social media marketing techniques will be applied to build digital presence and reach strategic objectives
- Translate a thorough understanding of each client’s brand, target markets, online and social media marketing goals into recommendations that will help the client realize measurable business results
- Create and define strategy, user experience, analytics, and business performance deliverables associated with custom client projects
- Define key performance indicators and implement enterprise level measurement, analytics, and reporting methods to gauge success
- Define and articulate how the client can, should, or could fit in with a variety of digital experiences and environments, including existing technologies on prospect and client sites and mobile applications
- Lead the development of social media management standards, policies and rules of engagement for social media
- Align strategic social media goals with activity based social marketing
- Brand monitoring - look out for opportunities & threats across the wider web
- Monitor and present relevant data, trends, successes, exceptions, threats, changes in social sites, etc.
- Lead creative development of social media campaigns, contests, social media event promotion

Social Media Management
- Implement and execute the social media strategy
- Manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities, including content development, daily monitoring, community-outreach efforts, seeding content into social applications as needed, etc.
- Develop engaging, valuable, and quality content for social media and e-communications, including: blog posts, emails, podcasts, videos, photos and social media feeds
- Monitor all social media content and moderate discussions, as needed
- Regularly feed back insights gained from social media monitoring into marketing, to help them evolve their strategies in a timely fashion
- Monitor trends in social media tools, trends and applications
- Stays current with industry trends in web-based/digital media technologies and trends

Social Media Research and Analysis
- Define effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyse, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results
- Formulate and develop social media monitoring strategies
- Monitor and evaluate social media results on a daily basis in coordination with client goals and benchmarks and prepare accurate, insightful reports to present research findings on social media efforts and success rates with recommendations
- Toolkit selection, set up and implementation to monitor, alert on social media activity and trends
- Audit competitors' online and social media efforts
- Conduct timely research in response to specific requests (data collection, summarize, analyse and synthesize relevant data and information)
- Support SEO strategies by understanding keyword priorities and how they integrate into content marketing plans

E-Marketing
- Analyse website content and identity integration with social media
- Newsletters content and design development
- Coordinate all e-mail marketing efforts consistent with overall marketing plans and strategies
