Job Description

Our client, a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company is currently recruiting for a Market Research Analyst
Primary Purpose:
Plans, directs, controls, conducts, and analyzes market, client, and competitor oriented market research, client and competitor insight, and analysis activities to determine potential clients, markets for products/services, and improve overall competitiveness. Acts in the capacity as a lead person with minimal direction.

Principal Duties & Accountabilities:
Develops and maintains marketing data bases/tracking systems including primary/secondary externally derived information and internally derived information.

Provides recommendations for e-industry subscriptions and other needed research tools/systems.

Has good understanding of region/division strategies and focus areas.

Recommends future product/service offerings based on regional and national market trends.

Ensures internal clients are provided with relevant, up-to-date market and competitor information.

Works with Sales/Proposals/others to capture market pricing and competitor information. Also helps to analyze pricing and prepare background information in support of forecasting activities.

Supports the monitoring and auditing of Client Relationship Management (CRM) information to assess the region’s prospect pipeline quality. Also generates new business and prospect reports as requested for region leadership/others.

May support Bid/No Bid package preparation and other new business growth, marketing, and corporate initiatives as required.

Management Responsibility
-Acts in capacity of a “lead person
-Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates. List supervised positions:
-Acts as a project manager. Among responsibilities is management of a project team. The individuals comprising this team may vary by project.


Education, Work Experience and/or Training

Education: Bachelor’s in Engg and experience in Oil and Energy industry or experience.

Experience: 3+ years related marketing, analysis, pricing, competitive intelligence experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities – typically needed for competent performance:
• Intermediate written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate desktop PC/laptop and Microsoft Office familiarity (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook) , and knowledge of electronic filing storage systems
• Intermediate client & employee relational skills
• Intermediate knowledge of marketing concepts
• Intermediate multi tasking ability (proactive, prioritizes, organizes, schedules work, good follow through) skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of Middle East and its culture
• Problem solving skills and confidence to logically defend research conclusions
• Knowledge of business practices and procedures to execute quality, non-repetitive analytically-driven work
